Pitcher Margaritas

Atlantic Sea Salt rimmed Margarita on a Sunny Evening on the Wild Atlantic Way!

Make your Margarita in a pitcher - its a game changer?

Shaken not stirred?

No Problem - pour from the pitcher into your cocktail shaker, add a few large cubes of ice and shake. Then our it through the strainer for a chilled cocktail.

Or serve over ice if you don’t have a shaker but don’t forget you can improvise a Cocktail shaker with a large protein shaker or keep cup.

If you make this in advance pop it in the fridge until it’s time to serve.

Right - here’s the magic formula.

  • 240 mls Tequila

  • 120 mls Orange Liqueur - eg Cointreau

  • 60 mls Freshly squeezed lime juice - buy lots of limes.

  • 830 mls of Aldi’s The Juice Company 100% pressed Tropical Juice. Must have pineapple. * See below for alternates.

  • Sea Salt

  • Lime wedge for the rim

It’s as simple as pour the ingredients into the jug and stir it! And stir again every time you pour. Please don’t use the lime juice you can buy that’s pre squeezed. Even if it says it’s nothing but lime juice!

But do rub the rim of your tumbler or cocktail glass, with a lime wedge and roll the rim in some good crushed sea salt. That’s the key or if you like it spicy use Tajin - which you can buy online in a handy tub with a lime squeezer on the lid and then you dip the glass in the juice and then the tub!

Now - what if you can’t find the juice with the Pineapple, Mango and Passion Fruit in Aldi? If it’s missing pineapple get some pineapple juice and add it yourself. Or use a mix of pineapple and orange juice.

Do not buy some other carton stuff - a lot of it isn’t great or has weird other fruits in it. No one wants banana or carrot juice in their Marg!

The Aldi Juice has a long shelf life in the fridge if you don’t open it - I just buy it when I see it and stock up!

Serve these on Mexican Night! Recipe for the easiest and most delicious Tacos right here.
